The Oxford Access Padded sling with legs is designed to facilitate the toileting process, allowing excellent access to clothing. Use for seated-to-seated lifting e.g. seated on a bed, commode or chair.
The simple to fit design simply slides down the back of the patient and is fastened around their waist. The body belt is adjustable for added support and comfort. Each strap is then passed under the corresponding leg, before being crossed over and attached to the spreader bar of a Joerns Oxford Passive Hoist. It has handy coloured attachment loops to guide correct positioning.
Not suitable for use from lying down. Whilst it has a safe working load of 227kg (35 stone), the patient must be assessed before choosing this type of sling as it isn’t for general use. Suitable for use in a range of settings including the care home, hospitals and residential home.
