Straight Stairlift
The Handicare 1100 straight stairlift is Handicare’s most popular lift. Already packed full of features it also has a range of unique optional extras for difficult staircases.
The 1100’s narrow rail is one of the slimmest available. The stairlift can fit neatly against the wall and causes minimal intrusion.
When not in use the seat can be parked anywhere on the rail. This is because the rail hides a continuous charging strip, so the lift is always charging.
The lift drives using 4 friction motors. They requires no lubrication so the rail is grease free. It also has no teeth making it much easier and safer to clean.
The seat is height adjustable and can swivel manually in one direction to enable easier dismount. It also folds at the armrests, seat and footplate to allow maximum space on the stairs when the lift is not in use.

The 1100’s friction motors make the lift extremely quiet and smooth when travelling between floors. It’s flexibility allows the lift to be fitted to either side of the staircase making installation easy.
It comes with safety features already built in such as safety edges which will stop the lift automatically in the event of an obstruction on the stairs.
The 1100 has a variety of optional extras available which help make this lift suitable for more complex staircases such as a hinged rail, this works well if the staircase ends directly in front of a doorway. A powered swivel upgrade can be made to reduce the need for bending to operate a manual swivel when getting off the lift.
Its unique option is the slide track rail which is a shorter rail fitted to the staircase that slides up and down as the lift moves in the same direction. This is perfect for staircases with a door at the very top and bottom of the stairs where a rail overhanging there would normally cause an obstruction.
