Best Seat In the House

rise and recline chair
The Avon chair by Sheffield’s own Mulberry Upholstery

We tend to spend more time in the house in winter, especially when there’s festive films to watch on TV. And this year we’ve got all the drama and excitement of the World Cup to keep us glued top our seats! So there’s all the more reason to make sure that seat’s a comfortable one and fits in with everything you need. A rise and recline chair offer the ultimate in comfort, letting you put your feet up at the touch of a button.

We have so many styles and fabrics to choose from, meaning your rise and recline chair can blend seamlessly in to your home. As well as choosing the look and colour of your chair, we cam also help you choose the right ‘back style’. Did you know there are lots to choose from? For example, a traditional-looking button-back chair gives a much firmer back. Whereas, a ‘waterfall’ back rise and recline chairs are much more padded and can even be adjusted so that it’s ‘just right’.

As mobility specialists, we know that finding your perfect fit in a chair is essential. Having a chair that isn’t quite right can sometimes harm more than it helps. We’ve made a handy video featuring the lovely Debbie showing what you need to think about, from getting the right height, width and even motor type. For example, some rise and recline chairs have just one motor, making them super easy to use, with a simple hand control. However, a dual motor chair allows you raise or lower the legs, without having to recline the back.

It’s important to get the right size chair for you- Debbie shows you how.

We don’t sell rise and recline chairs online, unlike some companies, because we believe its so important to get one that’s just right. But, just in case a customer can’t make it to one of our four stores, our lovely Martin can pop out, carry out an assessment and talk through options, to make sure the customer is getting exactly what they need. We might not be able to guarantee England are going to bring football home, but we can promise we’ll find you the best seat in the house.
