Over 60 years ago basic manual wheelchairs were our entry product into the mobility and disability world. Since then, we have seen many changes within product specification, how chairs are assessed, how they can be support funded and even chair styles and performance. Seeing and being a part of these changes has allowed us to continually develop how we work with wheelchair users.

Being BHTA (British Healthcare Trade Association) accredited means we have to work hard to keep their accreditation, it means we assess, suggest, deliver, handover and maintain our wheelchairs correctly.

Working closely with leading manufacturers such as Sunrise Medical and Invacare allows us to have early insight into upcoming new products, on hand support for extra clinical requirements, in depth training and additional product demonstration models. Having worked with them for so long has allowed us to build long standing trusting relationships.

We are always excited by new wheelchairs, in today’s demanding world they have to be modern, sleek and functional and our range of chairs really do hit the mark. With demonstration stock readily available we are able to bring a range of chairs for home assessment. Often users know what they want to achieve from their chair but are unsure about the options and models available. We spend time establishing this with you unless of course you know exactly what you are looking for and even then a home assessment is key.

During an assessment we work with you, your family and healthcare professional to understand your needs and make sure the chair you require meets them. Including seating, positioning and pressure care. Once your chair arrives we deliver to you with a complete handover, setting the chair up with you to allow maximum use of its functions and ensuring your confident use. We are always on hand afterwards for further adjustment and our Service & Repair team is available for any troubleshooting.

Healthcare Professionals

Having worked with wheelchair services for many years we have developed a good understanding of what is expected of us from a healthcare professional and we now work closely with Occupational Therapists, case managers and clinicians. We provide demonstration days and individual assessments for clients using our wide range of demonstration equipment to supply a complete offering. We are able to call on our knowledge to provide input into product suitability, optional extras and pressure care solutions.

Often there is a team of healthcare professionals involved in each case so assessments are followed up with a complete quotation detailing the chair assessed and any additional features. This is shared with all involved including, where funding is required, charities, vouchers and Motability.


We know that a wheelchair can be a big investment and should something happen to it, there’s a worry about how you can repair or replace it. However, we have partnered with Mark Bates Ltd. Insurance who pride themselves on giving our customers the confidence to live independently with peace of mind. Speak to us about packages available and we’ll give you the first month free. You’ll be covered for accidental damage, public liability and there’s never any excess to pay. There’s also 24/7 national breakdown recovery and hire wheelchairs available, meaning you’ll never be stuck. And if your product is less than three years old they’ll replace it with a new version if it is beyond repair.
