Wet Rooms & Level Access Showering
Safe showering solutions for your home
The traditional bathroom can present challenges to many people. A bath might not be practical and safe. An existing raised shower tray/cubicle may have become difficult or dangerous to negotiate. And perhaps assistance is required when showering. There are many ways in which you can adapt your current bathroom or another room in your home to allow for safe bathing.
A wet room is when the whole room is covered with one continuous floor covering which also returns slightly up the walls, making the whole floor area waterproof. We use high grade non-slip flooring to allow safe transition underfoot. It comes in a range of modern colours to compliment your home.
Level showering is the use of low threshold shower trays creating a minimal step from bathroom floor into shower area. Our trays are also nonslip and being low can be managed safely stepping into the shower.
Both types of bathroom adaptation are usually accompanied by a range of other bathing equipment such as showers, shower screens, half height shower screens of shower chairs.
When adapting your bathroom, we compete the project from start to finish. After initial enquiry a surveyor will visit you at home to understand your needs, assess the space and talk through some solutions we think may work.
We sometimes visit you again to talk through design choices after the initial quote has been accepted.
We provide a thorough quotation details all the works involved along with a digital 3D CAD drawing to see how your new space will look from a birds eye view.
All the remodelling works is done by our own team, the only time we use an additional third party is for complete wet room flooring. This requires specialist knowledge to ensure it works how it should, we have worked along side our colleagues here for many years and they are an extended part of the Clark & Partners team.
Changing the way your bathroom works can also be beneficial for any carers or additional support you receive at home. Having additional features such as half height shower screens can allow a carer to continue assisting during showering whilst remaining dry behind the screen.
