Adding a powered add on to a manual wheelchair or active user wheelchair provides additional support and performance. There is a large range of different power additions to choose from depending on your requirements.
Attaching to the front of your wheelchair power assists and hand bikes are controlled by you either with battery powered motors or hand pedalling. They are user friendly and ergonomically designed to give extra speed distance and performance to your wheelchair.
There are 2 main featured power packs, those which add additional power and performance to your chair which you control and ones which add additional support for chairs which are attendant pushed, offering assistance to those pushing the chair from behind.

Assessments
Complex and prescriptive wheelchairs and powerchairs require an assessment with one of our experts. Assessments can be carried out at your home or in one of our stores. An assessment allows you to try a product and specify a chair to your exact requirements.

We are proud to be accredited by the British Healthcare Trade Association (BHTA) to be a member we must fulfil their requirements and follow the guidance they set to provide excellent customer service and detailed assessments and aftercare.
Because you rely on your mobility equipment, we advise insuring it to ensure you’re covered should the unexpected occur. We’re appointed representatives of mobility equipment specialist insurers, Mark Bates Ltd.
Aftercare
Our head office location is based in Sheffield and we offer assessment regionally within Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. Staying local allows us to offer the best possible aftercare to our customers.

As technology advances so do the options of wheelchair add ons including both manual and powered. Our range is varied to bring you different options from manufacturers such as Sunrise and Rehasense. Powered options such as the PAWS have multi level capabilities including auto docking to make using powered add ons as easy as possible.
Assessments are available for powered add ons, we have a range which we can demo either in store or at your home. Some of our demonstration models are easily fitted to your wheelchair to try whilst others are already set up on a chair for your to test drive.
