Aftercare for us starts with ‘Before-care’. Unlike most retailers, we care about solutions to problems rather than sales. We’re so proud of our tight-knit team of Customer Advisors, who are trained to the highest standard in terms of knowing our full product range and how each one would work- or not – for an individual.
That’s why, unlike many mobility product retailers, we actually avoid selling many items on our online shop. Whilst we encourage our customers to do their research online before taking the time to come to one of our four stores to purchase their new scooter or rise and recline chair, we’d much prefer to greet them with a smile before they make a decision. Sure, there’s no need to leave the comfort of home when you’re buying a reacher or pair of slippers. Our online shop is great for that! But investing in a profiling bed or boot scooter you can transport in your car, is a bit more of a commitment. Chances, are you’re going to be spending quite some time using that item. Which is why it’s essential it’s the perfect one for you.
Take a look at our handy video that shows just what needs to be considered before buying a rise & recline chair, for example:
In recognition of our commitment to giving solid and impartial advice, we are proud to have been accepted as members to the British Healthcare Trades Association. Not all mobility solution retailers have achieved this status. Being a member means, for example, we’re trusted by the NHS’s Wheelchair Services. So, anyone who qualifies for an NHS wheelchair can only use the voucher they’re awarded with an approved BHTA member.
Not only are we members of the BHTA, we are approved Motability dealers. Customers who qualify can receive great pay-as you go rates on powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters. They can buy from us safe in the knowledge that we adhere to the stringent government-approved guidelines. Read more by clicking here.
It’s not just our retail store staff who deliver excellent ‘before care’. Our assessment team are on hand for free at-home assessments for those with limited mobility or when an ‘off-the-shelf’ product won’t do.
We’ve even gone as far as to become Level 4 Trusted Assessors- something no other mobility company in the city has achieved. This means we’re trusted to work alongside Sheffield City Council and their Occupational Therapists to find solutions. Our holistic knowledge of mobility solutions means we can see that sometimes more than one solution is needed. We put the cogs together to get things moving in the right direction- and stay moving. It’s probably worth mentioning we also do car adaptations!
So, we’ve rattled on about ‘before care‘, but why choose Clark & Partners for better aftercare? Basically, we put the ‘care’ in to aftercare. We’re a family-owned business and operate like a family, with each department supporting one another with their own specialist knowledge. Which is why we treat our customers as if they’re family, because the chances are they’re someone else’s family who wants them to receive the best service possible.
Having the reassurance that your stairlift is going to keep going for years to come, is important to many. Everyone knows that, just like with a car, regular servicing is key to making your products last longer. We know, as the economic climate is as it is, this might be the last thing on some people’s minds. Because we care, we don’t want our customers to have to worry about it costing a lot to maintain products that gives them their independence. For this reason, we now offer product servicing at reduced rates. So that’s one less thing to worry about.
Just in case that’s not enough, for even greater peace of mind, a care package can be added to the purchase of a hoist, stairlift or vertical lift. We have a Standard and Premium care package, depending on your budget.
We’re very proud of the lovely Google reviews our customers have given our team. Some of our colleagues have made a real impression on them.
And in the case of Deb and Amy at our Derby showroom, some have made friends. Mr. Dennis Pollard popped in to our Derby shop to show them how happy he still was with his Breeze S4 scooter. In fact he insisted we put his picture on our Facebook page! Deb helped him with his mobile phone problems and saved him from needing to buy a new one. Even after he rose to fame after trying to drive his Breeze S4 down a dual carriageway, he didn’t forget the service of the Derby team and often pops in to say hello.
