Car Adaptations
For drivers and their equipment
Car adaptations are all about making your car easier to use so that you can continue to drive and easily transport mobility equipment.
There are many different types of ways in which your car can be adapted depending on the solution you are looking for.
All work is carried out in our workshop based at our Sheffield Head Office based on the Dore House Industrial Estate (27A Orgreave Drive, S13 9NR). For this reason, anyone looking for Clark & Partners to carry out any adaptations should factor the transportation of the vehicle to and from the site, as well as aftercare of the equipment.
There are several ways your car can be adapted to assist you when driving such as driving steering aids and balls which can help turning your wheel to secondary controls which are attached to the steering wheel and operate headlights and indicators, for example. Our adaptations specialists can also integrate seat runner extensions or pedal extensions, depending on the make and model of the vehicle.
As well as driving assistance, there is also a range of options to support person access in and out of the vehicle, from hoists to transfer swivel seats.
For drivers who carry passengers who may otherwise make driving more challenging, driver protection screens can be fitted at our adaptations centre.
Staying mobile can also require the transportation of additional mobility equipment, such as scooters or manual wheelchairs. Our product range covers a solution for all of these, making it as easy as possible to take equipment out with you, from boot hoists to automatic roof boxes.
We also fit dual controls for cars used in learner driving.

We have been adapting customer vehicles for many years and are familiar with the range of available options. Our technicians and surveyors based at our head office in Sheffield are on hand to discuss your options and help find the right solution. We have a fully adapted car with a variety of adaptions inside for you to view and try.
We are Motability accredited and can therefore fit adaptations to cars for customers on the mobility scheme. New cars arrive to us before being delivered to the customer so we can complete any adaptions before customers receive their new car.
